Atlanta United was humiliated by Inter Miami led by the legendary Lionel Messi in the Eastern Conference MLS League Cup match, who are currently in last position.
The game’s opening two goals were both by name and by nature scored by Messi.
Messi, who was in charge of the assault from midfield, transferred the ball to Robert Taylor on his left before receiving it back and completing the move with the softest of touches to put the team ahead 1-0.
Taylor benefited from Messi’s presence as he switched from a provider to a scorer. Taylor formerly played for Lincoln City of League One.
Just before halftime, Miami had a three-goal lead thanks to an incredible volley. Neither he nor the other attacker were finished there.
Taylor was able to sprint from his own half unnoticed thanks to Messi’s first assist, which was the result of the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner’s magnetic ability to attract three defenders to him.
