Ghanaian international Thomas Partey has been charged with rape by the Metropolitan Police Service.
The former Black Stars captain was charged on Friday, July 4, with five counts of rape against two women.
One against one of the alleged victims and two against the second woman.
Partey is set to appear at the Westminster Magistrates’ Court on August 5 to face the charges.
An investigation was launched by the MET in February 2022 when the first report was made.
“Our priority remains providing support to the women who have come forward,” said Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy.
