A psychologist at Ghana Police Hospital, Sylvester Sackiteh, has called on Ghanaians to seek psychological attention when a loved one begins to experience mental challenges.
According to him, that will help the person to recover at a faster pace than dwelling solely on divine intervention.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Novella Chat on Max TV in Accra on Sunday, the psychologist made it clear that mental illness is not demonic but a medical condition.
He stated that as one was seeking medical attention, the person could as well support it with prayers.
”Because both must go hand in hand. I am not saying don’t seek divine intervention. Memory loss is not demonic but a mental issue. You must seek medical help and add prayers to it,” Sackiteh added.
