Organising Samuel McKeown Fiamko, the secretary of the 2007 year group of the APSEC Old Students Association, has disclosed the reason for the postponement of the 70th anniversary ceremony to November.

While on the Max Morning Show on April 2, 2026, Mr Fiamko revealed the organizing group needed more time due to preparations, which are being put in place to make the event grand and memorable.

On their legacy project, which is the development of an ultra-modern assembly hall, the association aims for completion by November just in time for the 70th anniversary celebrations.

He further called on fellow ‘Asomafuo’ to contribute their widow’s mite or more to support the funding of the beautiful edifice.

The Organising Secretary of the 2006 year group of the APSEC OLD STUDENTS ASSOCIATION, Esther Akua Adobea Ansong, mentioned to host Nana Kwame Owusu I that the theme and logo for the landmark celebration are yet to be launched.

“As it stands now, there has not been any official launching, so some information is secretive, yet we will have an official launch on the 27th of June, which will bring a lot of information out,” she stated.
