Super Falcons head coach Justine Madugu has named 24 players in his final squad for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON.
Bay FC forward Asisat Oshoala is making a return to the team after close to a year’s absence.
Oshoala has not featured for the nine-time African champions since the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Captain Rasheedat Ajibade, regulars goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, Francisca Ordega, Osinachi Ohale, Ashleigh Plumptre and Michelle Alozie were also included in the list.
Three home-based players – goalkeeper Rachael Unachukwu and defenders Sikiratu Isah and Miracle Usani – also made the cut.
The Super Falcons will take on Portugal in a friendly in Lisbon next week Monday.
They will also face Black Queens of Ghana in another friendly in Morocco on Sunday, 29 June.
Morocco will host the competition from Saturday 5 July to Saturday 26 July.
