The new shot-stopper for Asante Kotoko, Mohammed Camara, has credited his transfer to the former Ghana Premier League champions to the former captain of the club, Amos Frimpong.
Camara, 24, signed a two-year deal with the Porcupine Warriors from Guinean club Soar Academy, where he made 26 appearances.
The club’s head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, is confident the Guinean will be a strong addition to the goalkeeping department of his team.
On Amos Frimpong’s role in his move to Kumasi, he stated that the former Kotoko captain raved about the club’s objectives and its passionate fan base.
“Amos had a lot of very good things to say about the club: the supporters, the supportive environment, and the ambition to achieve success. This convinced me that Asante Kotoko is the right place for me to continue my career,” Camara said to the club’s media.
