The owners of Chelsea seem to be wasting no time in looking for a replacement for the recently departed Mauricio Pochettino as manager of the club.
In their end-of-season message to supporters in the matchday program against Bournemouth in their final game of the season, Chelsea co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali stressed the importance of consistently competing in the Champions League, winning or contending in the Premier League, and domestic cup competitions as their biggest aims for the club.
A number of names have already been mentioned from the pool of managers to take over at Chelsea, and some of these names would surprise you.
Chelsea are expected to go for a younger and, in their view, more progressive coach with Stuttgart’s Sebastian Hoeness, Girona’s Michel, Ipswich Town’s Kieran McKenna, who has been targeted by Brighton, and Leicester City’s Enzo Maresca.
Sporting Lisbon coach Rúben Amorim feels like a solid replacement but has stated he has no plans of leaving the Portuguese giants anytime soon.
Chelsea have no plans to go back to Thomas Tuchel, Jose Mourinho, or Antonio Conte as they start the process of replacing Mauricio Pochettino.
