#MaxNews: EC release calendar ahead of 2024 elections

Date:

The Electoral Commission will receive nominations for the year’s elections in a significant countdown to the conclusion of the political season from September 9 to 13.

This comprises the September 23, 2024, voting for seats on the ballot paper, and the September 24, 2024, parliamentary voting.

The EC, assuming all goes according to plan, will declare the results of the 2024 presidential election in three days.

On May 7, 2024, the EC will register voters nationwide using voter identification documents in partnership with the Daily Graphic. On May 30, 2024, people who have lost their IDs can have them replaced.

There will be public education on the registrations from April 1 to May 26.

Based on the schedule with the daily graphic to display the voter register between July 15 and 24, 2024, EC intends to deliver the IDs to the political parties between July 9 and July 18, 2024.
