Social media went haywire after pictures and videos of King Promise purportedly getting married in a traditional ceremony on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, went viral.
While many were astonished by the rumors surrounding the footage, it had come to light that the visuals, which showed the musician adorned in traditional kente together with other celebrities like Sarkodie, EL, DanceGod Llyod, and Efia Odo, were part of his new musical video.
The viral pictures and videos sent fans into frenzy creating the narrative that the “Terminator” crooner was finally tying the knot.
However, the information turned out to be “fake,” as it was a mere project the musician was embarking on as part of his career.
An earlier post by DanceGod Llyod on his Instagram story showed the celebrities getting prepared for the music video shoot.
Further checks indicated that Creative Director Soafrican made an earlier post about the music video project with King Promise.
Soafrican was also dressed as one of the groom’s men for the “fictional” marriage ceremony in the music video.
A post by Soafrican stated, “On set! on my creative director grind for the boy@iamkingpromise.”
His other posts showed a camera set up with King Promise seated on a sofa while being captured singing.
