#MaxEntertainment: Philipa Baafi shuts doors on politicians

Date:

Sensational gospel musician Philipa Baafi has shut doors on political parties that wish to use her to compose songs for their campaign in this year’s elections.

According to her, she will not compose any song to support any political party but has opened doors for political parties to use any of her existing songs to do their rallies if they so wish.

The “Go Higher” hitmaker said this in a media interview, in which she explained that political parties would only demand a musician to compose a song in accordance to their desires and messages which she would not kowtow to that.

“If you tell me to do a song I won’t do it. But if the song is there and you want to use it, why not? If they want you to do a song, they will let you do a song that suits them but I don’t want to do that.”

“So if I do a song and you think it suits you and you want it that’s okay. It’s like somebody doing an advert and taking one song as cover and you have to see me for copyright,” she said.

Meanwhile, Philipa Baafi’s song “Go High” was used by the New Patriotic Party during their 2008 electoral campaign, and the track did magic for the party.

The song was, however, released in 2007 and was not really composed for political reasons.
