#MaxEntertainment: Kumasi stands up for ‘HoodTalk’ Music Festival

Date:

The “Asantehene Jubilee Edition” of the HoodTalk Music Festival is kicking off with sterling musical performances from Strongman, Kweku Flick, Yaw Tog, Bradex, Ypee, Kweku Darlington, African Child, Seven Kizs, and a host of other musicians this Thursday in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.

Organized by DreamChild Foundation, a non-governmental organization, in collaboration with the Otumfuo Silver Jubilee, it is slated to commemorate the 25th Silver Jubilee of the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

Over 20,000 music fans from all walks of life are expected to throng the much-hyped event to celebrate Asantehene.

It would also engage with the public in raising funds to build five pediatric clinics across Ghana at a cost of $14 million.

Among other things, the event would empower and support African children by harnessing the power of music and the arts through community engagement.

The artistes billed for the event are expected to treat music lovers in Kumasi to some pulsating performances.

It would also give music fans the opportunity to meet and interact with the artistes billed for the show, while the event is expected to stream on all social media platforms, including Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram, to engage all Ghanaians and foreigners in and outside the country.

The “HoodTalk” project had already received massive endorsements from the Office of the President, the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, the DJs Union of Ghana (DJUGA), the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Traditional Affairs, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection, and UNESCO.
