For the first time since 2004, Ghana will not shine bright her colors at the biggest football event on the African continent, the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Black Stars of Ghana amazing failure to secure qualification for the event in Morocco this year is a testament to how low the team has fallen since the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The draw for the tournament will come off on Monday, January 27, 2025, live on Max TV at 18:00 GMT.
Hosts of the tournament, Morocco, are placed in Pot 1, with defending champions Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Senegal, Egypt, and Algeria.
Cameroon, Tunisia, Mali, South Africa, DR Congo, and Burkina Faso are in Pot 2, while Gabon, Angola, Zambia, Uganda, Equatorial Guinea, and Benin are in Pot 3.
Kwesi Appiah and Ignatius Fosu’s Sudan are grouped alongside Mozambique, Comoros, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, and Botswana in Pot 4.
