Following a successful trial for sexual assault and rape, former Manchester City left defender Benjamin Mendy has signed a two-year contract with French Ligue 1 team Lorient.
After finishing his contract with Manchester City this summer, Mendy will remain with Lorient through July 2025.
The 29-year-old has been absent from the field for nearly three years as a result of rape and sexual assault claims that later turned out to be untrue.
