Nsoatreman FC, Ghana’s only representatives in the CAF Confederation Cup, recently saw their General Manager, Eric Alagidede, reflect on the club’s inaugural campaign, highlighting the positives from their experience.
The Ghana FA Cup champions, Nsoatreman FC, faced tough competition in their CAF Confederation Cup campaign, ultimately being eliminated by Algerian side CS Constantine. They lost 2-0 in the first leg at Accra Sports Stadium and 1-0 in the return match in Algiers.
Despite these setbacks, General Manager Eric Alagidede highlighted the valuable lessons learned, stating that the experience has laid a foundation for future growth. He expressed confidence in the team’s potential as they refocus on the domestic league. “It was a learning curve for us. We will compete vigorously to defend our FA Cup title and perform well in the Ghana Premier League,” he said during an interview on MAX Sports Pack 89.7 FM.
Looking ahead, Nsoatreman FC is determined to make an impact in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season while aiming to reclaim their FA Cup championship. Under head coach Yaw Preko, the team is set to face Accra Lions in their Matchday four clash on Saturday at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, hoping to build momentum and showcase the growth gained from their continental experience.
