MAX NEWS: Ghana Leadership Awards slated for December 23

Date:

The Ghana Leadership Awards (GLA), an annual awards scheme that aims at honoring leaders in Ghana, is set to take place on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel.

The award, which has honored over 100 extraordinary leaders in the country from all spheres of life, also aims at celebrating outstanding and exemplary leadership that significantly contributed positively to advancing Ghana and Africa at large.

Speaking in an interview with Max Online, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the awards, Professor Emmanuel Nash, said the award was to honor individuals who have made a difference in their endeavors to inspire others to emulate their steps.

“The event will seek to honor leaders for their exemplary contributions towards Ghana’s growth in economic, social, political, and leadership development,” he added.

Prof. Nash said this year’s event is in its 15th edition and will be held under the theme “Love your Country, Love Your People” to honor 20 gallant individuals with extraordinary leadership skills.

“They will be the leaders of the glittering evening, in an ode to their impeccable leadership qualities. This event will richly contribute to the leaders who took extra efforts in nation-building while nurturing the Ghanaian economy to grow,” he said.

GLA was first organized in 2009 and has since honored political, religious, economic, and traditional leaders, musicians, journalists, and businessmen and women.

Some of their past winners included President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, former President John Dramani Mahama, Jerry John Rawlings, John Agyekum Kuffour, Ghana’s Accountant General, Mr. KK Bosompim, Kofi Annan, musician Nacee, and Peggy Ama Donkor, among others.
