As a husband or wife, would you ever choose your “family” over your spouse? Do you even consider your spouse your family? Well, Habeeba Sinare, the former wife of Ghanaian international striker Majeed Waris, received her marching orders from the player, as he opted for the “family” he recognizes over her.

Sinare, who possesses a striking beauty, is the daughter of former Member of Parliament for Ayawaso Central, Alhaji Sinare.

Her marriage with the former Spartak Moscow striker lasted just sixteen months after they married in a lavish ceremony in 2017.

In an interview with popular media personality MzGee, she revealed her hurt by Waris choosing to leave her for his “family” despite having a child together.

“I always say that my child was meant to come into the world. He asked me, ‘Why won’t you come back?’ I told him, ‘I’m done. There’s nothing left. I don’t feel anything for you anymore.’ When I was leaving, he said he wouldn’t choose me over his family. That hurt me deeply,” she said in the interview.

She admits being still hurt by the words of the man she chose to oppose her family for, as she comes to the realization that she has actually never been part of Waris’ family.

After the striker missed Ghana’s squad for the 2019 AFCON, Sinare proudly said to the media that her ex-husband was getting the treatment he deserved for treating her badly while they were married to each other.

“I don’t wish him bad, but as I am talking to you today, he (Waris) is paying for it.

He is one of the people that they have gone and the coach have told them to come back and I am here as a single mother and I am a very very very young woman,” she said on Hitz FM in 2019.

Sinare, also an actress, was once rumored to have been in a relationship with Nigerian afrobeats singer Davido in 2014.
