A tragic accident has occurred at Ayensudo on the Takoradi-Cape Coast highway on the morning of Monday, April 28, 2025, with scores feared dead.
Ayensudo is infamous for frequent deadly collisions in recent years, which has become a major cause of concern.
The Daily Graphic reported in 2022 a collision between a truck and a bus at Ayensudo, claiming twelve lives.
In August 2024, that same Ayensudo stretch saw another fatal accident on a Sunday morning resulting in the deaths of nine people when a sprinter bus, Man Diesel Articulated Truck, and Howo truck slammed into each other.
Residents over the years have complained over the frequent blood spillages through the vehicle accidents.
