Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League Matchday 1 Results

The new season of the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League kicked off with an avalanche of goals on matchday one.

Newly promoted Oak Ladies impressively played out a goalless draw with one of the biggest clubs in the league, Hasaacas Ladies, on Saturday, November 1.

Defending champions Police Ladies put up a masterclass performance in a 4-1 drubbing of Halifax Queens at the Madina Astro Turf.

FC Samartex, another newly promoted side, upstaged Ladystrikers for a 2-1 win at the Nsenkyire Stadium.

The 2023-24 Women’s FA Cup winners, Army Ladies, shocked Epiphany Warriors for a 1-2 away win at the Madina Astro Turf on Friday, October 31.

Though Faustina Tiwaa managed to cancel Vera Bema’s opener for Army, Linda Achiaa popped up with a late winner for the travelling side.

In the Northern Zone, Ampem Darkoa were held to a 2-2 draw away at FC Savannah, while Fosua Royal Ladies were the biggest winners of the round, recording a resounding 5-2 win over Northern City.
