Fast rising Gospel Chanteuse, Mabel Okyere has called on churches to financially assist singers who are contributing meaningfully to the gospel ministry.
According to her, that will whip up the interest of congregation to assume rightful roles in church.
Speaking exclusively with Max Drive on Max 89.FM in Accra on Tuesday, the “Asada” hitmaker said singers and choristers are playing a prominent role in the worshipping of God and need to be assisted by the Pastors and the church.
”Heavens will be delighted, if a church is able to support and uplift a talented singer in a church. Like Pentecost will support and hone a talented singer from a particular district who is contributing immensely in the church.”
This will also whet the appetite of youth to join choirs and also facilitate the process for the singer to meet their potential or destiny helpers,” she said.
Recounting her ordeal as a singer, Mabel Okyere indicated that she suffered for years while being a singer in the church.
”It got to a point, I was losing hope because friends who sing in other churches are being paid while I get nothing from my church.”
However, I was still optimistic, I was really suffering financially but God being so good, I got someone in the church who discovered my talent and dedication. He began producing me,” she stated.
Mabel Okyere who is promoting her new song, dubbed “So Far So Good” urged fans and gospel enthusiasts to stream the song which is available on all digital stores and connect with her on her socials to jointly promote and praise the Lord with “So far So Good.”
