The Central Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan, has labeled the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) as a ‘drowning entity gasping for breath’.
Speaking on an Accra-based radio station on Wednesday, Kwamena Duncan noted that the NDC has since the outbreak of Coronavirus in the country shown that they are desperate and will do anything to pull down the Akufo-Addo administration.
Kwamena Duncan told host Kwami Sefa Kayi that the NDC leadership and members have made it their job to counter President Akufo-Addo’s decisions and initiatives to curb the virus, therefore will punch holes where there are none.
He ridiculed comments by some leaders of the NDC, particularly the party’s General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia for stating that the President’s decisions regarding the COVID-19 epidemic are geared towards rigging the 2020 general elections.
Kwamena Duncan held strongly that there is no way Ghanaians will fall for the gimmicks of NDC and rally behind Ex-President and flagbearer of the party, John Dramani Mahama because “the Ghanaian people have known him. We saw him in his four-year administration. We saw him as the Vice President”.
He further stated that President Akufo-Addo is unperturbed by comments of the NDC but rather focused on remedying the pandemic.
