Kumasi-Sunyani Highway Collision Kills 16

Dr Frank Amoakohene has extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved families of the Kumasi-Sunyani highway accident victims.

Sixteen passengers died in a fatal accident near Mankranso on the Kumasi-Sunyani highway in Ahafo Ano South East District.

A Ford transit bus with registration number GT 6576-19 conveying passengers from Kumasi to Drobo and an ambulance heading to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital crashed into each other.

The passengers of the bus, sixteen of them, lost their lives, while a pregnant woman in the ambulance and other occupants’ conditions are yet to be disclosed by authorities.

The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Mankranso Hospital mortuary pending identification and autopsy.

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Amoakohene, posted, “May their souls rest in peace.”
