Chairman of the Ghana Beach Soccer Association, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, has expressed confidence in the Minister Designate for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams.
Many names were mentioned as favorites for the position before the press release by the Office of the President, John Dramani Mahama on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, but Kofi Adams was the least person expected to be nominated.
With a rich experience in administrative work in government over the years, Yaw Ampofo asserts that Kofi Adams is truly capable of doing a good job despite not being a “sports person” in the eyes of many.
“He has gained the trust and confidence of the president to run the Sports and Recreation Ministry. He has the right temperament: quiet and assertive. He will get the job done. He knows how to move things.
Regardless of his lessened popularity in the sports industry, he would be supported with the resources to succeed,” he said on the Sports Pack show on Max FM.
