After the Artist of the year award swerved, King Paluta one of the nominees who stood tall in the debate to win the coveted award has congratulated the five star singer King Promise.
In an X post to celebrate King Promise after being crowned Artiste of the Year at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), on May 11, 2025, King Paluta, hailed King Promise for his accomplishment.
“Congratulations to Big Greg @lamKingPromise! Apicki!” he tweeted
In a swift response, King Promise said: “Ouch !!! Bless my brother.”
Aside from the ultimate award, King Promise also secured awards for Best Afropop song, Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste and Best Album/EP of the year.
Many who believed it was the year of King Paluta highlighted that the rapper turned singer had released consistent hit tracks in the year under review.
They said Paluta was the name on the streets and all his songs were shaping lives in churches and in clubs, thus deserved to be crowned the Artiste of the year, which King Promise swept home last Saturday.
Although the main award swerved, Paluta won three awards with his smash hit “Aseda.”
He took home the most Popular song of the year award, highlife song of the year and the Producer of the year awards respectively.
