Multi-talented musician Kilo Beats has praised legendary Highlife singer Obuoba J.A. Adofo for his witty lyrics, which resonate with all generations.

According to him, the music of J.A. Adofo is deep, and he is willing to learn from the musician to fill in the gap in order to fit the industry.

Kilo Beats said this in an interview with Max Drive in Accra on Tuesday, where he noted some loopholes in the industry that he wanted to fill in, bridging the gap the current musicians have created.

He stated that highlife music is the authentic genre that had been sidelined over the years, making Ghana lose its musical identity.

“When Shatta Wale traveled outside the country and was asked why he was not projecting highlife through his music, he returned home to start preaching the gospel of highlife music,” Kilo Beats stated.

He went further to state that he was learning the manner in which J.A. Adofo did his music to replicate it for him to excel in the industry.

“Moving forward, I learned how to play the guitar so that the president and bigger stakeholders will book me to perform for them. Because a live band is the real deal to get money and to sell Ghana’s highlife music,” Kilo Beats added.
