Head coach of Legon Cities, Paa Kwesi Fabin, has tendered his resignation just two months after signing a contract extension with the club.
Last week, Fabin informed Legon Cities management of his intention to step down from his role. While the club did not outright oppose the decision, management initiated discussions to understand the reasons behind his sudden move.
According to sources close to Max Sports, these informal talks culminated in Fabin formally submitting his resignation. Despite this, he was persuaded to continue in his role temporarily, allowing the club time to consult its board of directors regarding the matter.
Reluctantly, Fabin agreed to stay on, and he was on the bench for Legon Cities’ latest match—a 2-0 home defeat to Bechem United at the University of Ghana Stadium.
The situation has raised questions about the stability of the club, with fans eagerly awaiting an official statement from management to address the ongoing turbulence.
