Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has officially conceded defeat in the 2024 Presidential elections.
In a statement delivered to the press late Monday night, Dr. Bawumia acknowledged the outcome of the polls and extended his congratulations to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, John Dramani Mahama, who is poised to become the next President of Ghana.
“After reviewing the provisional results and in consultation with the leadership of the NPP, I accept the will of the Ghanaian people as expressed through their votes,” Dr. Bawumia stated.
