Ghanaian national in the United States Joseph Osei Boateng has been convicted of sex crimes in Columbus, Ohio.
Boateng, who has been living in the United States since 2019, was arrested by the U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
He was apprehended on January 29, 2025, for being involved with a minor.
“Sex crimes against a minor threaten the very fabric of our communities,” said ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Detroit Field Office Director Robert Lynch.
“Our ICE team will continue to identify and apprehend individuals amenable to removal who have victimised our most vulnerable population.”
