Renowned gospel musician Empress Gifty Adorye has confessed that she was employed at United Television (UTV), a subsidiary of Despite Media Group, without a certificate and qualification.
According to Empress Gifty, her employment status depicts the grace of God upon her life beyond proper educational certificates and qualifications.
Speaking in an interview with Max Morning Show in Accra on Thursday, the controversial singer indicated she was picked by grace and not her qualifications.
She noted that the grace of God was abundant in her life and had such a breakthrough after the Highlife icon, Kuami Eugene wrote the song “Watch Me” for her.
Empress Gifty maintained that “Watch Me” was a divine-driven track that has given many music lovers testimonies, including herself.
“Through this song, I got a job at Despite. I don’t have any qualifications; I don’t have any certificates, but you see, I am not their mate. When it comes to grace, I am different, so grace picked me, not the qualification,” she said.
Empress Gifty disclosed that she was passing through tribulations when Kuami Eugene called her over the phone to inform her about the song that God has touched his heart to give to her.
True to the highlife singer’s words, she listened to it and was immediately touched, stressing that the song was holy-spirit-filled and anyone who would listen to it could equally have a testimony.
