HEARTS OF OAK VS MEDEAMA SC: Hearts to battle CAF Champions League contenders

Date:

Accra Hearts of Oak will take on league champions Medeama SC this afternoon at the Accra Sports Stadium, live on StarTimes Adepa, channel 247, at 3 p.m.

The match-up between the lowly-placed Phobians and the Yellow and Mauves will certainly be a cracker, considering both sides’ stuttering form into the season.

Hearts of Oak were well dominated and beaten at home by the current champions, Medeama.

The home side has only managed one victory, which came against current league leaders, Nsoatreman FC.

Martinus Koopman’s boys showed in their last match they are ready to come out of the woods with an impressive display at Duns Park, as they came from behind to draw 1-1 with Bibiani Gold Stars.

The Phobians saw their first goal disallowed for offside in the second half before conceding to Gold Stars through another set-piece goal from Appiah. Hamza Issah popped up to draw the away side level minutes later.

A win today for Hearts of Oak will alleviate under-fire coach Martinus Koopman’s headaches.
