Hearts of Oak legend Mohammed Polo has blamed poor technical direction for the club’s current woes.
The man, known as the ‘Dribbling Magician’, has been a player and a coach for the Rainbow club.
Polo believes that poor handling of the club coupled with enviness has seen the stature of Hearts of Oak hit a low.
Polo, speaking to Max 89.7 FM, said the club will have to restructure to be able to get back to their glory days.
“There are so many issues but it is more about the technical direction, they change it too often. There is also a ‘pull him down’ attitude at the club and floating of shares. Hearts use to be a force in the olden days, we achieved so much in the past with Harry Zakour and the rest. So something is wrong, the structures in place now has changed and it is not helping at all, the last time I was there, I met a good structure at Auroras and developed several good players”
Hearts of Oak has not won a major trophy since 2009, something the fans are not happy about.
They came close to ending their trophy drought in 2017 but were beaten 3-1 in the FA Cup final against Kotoko.
