Ghanaian forward Kudus Mohammed shortlisted for 2020 Golden Boy award

Date:

Ghana and Nordsjaelland striker Kudus Mohammed has been shortlisted for the 2020 Golden Boy award.

He will be competing against the likes of Haaland, Vinicius, Sancho, Rodrygo, Davies and Fati for the big price.

Kudus has been in red hot form for Nordsjaelland helping them qualify to the Championship round after scoring nine goals in 21 Superligaen games.

The 19-year-old was also impressive on his debut for the Black Stars in his debut against South Africa, scoring within minutes of coming on in the second half.

The Golden Boy award is for young players under the age of 21 who have been exceptional in the year under review.

The top 20 will be the finalists and a jury will choose the winner out of them.

Joao Félix, winner of last year’s edition, awaits a successor after his eye-catching season with Benfica that earned him a big money move to Atletico Madrid.
