Hakimi maintains innocence in rape case

Date:

Paris Saint-Germain defender, Achraf Hakimi, has spoken for the first time since the rape allegations against him.

In an interview with Foot Africa, Hakimi insisted that he was innocent of all the accusations.

The topic was brought up, especially as the Nanterre prosecutor’s office has recently called for a trial.

“I am calm. Being falsely accused is horrible, unfair. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I know the truth will come out,” Hakimi said.

“I have nothing to blame myself for, and those who know me are aware of that.

“I remain composed and focus on the important things in my life, namely family and football. As I said, the truth will come out.”

Hakimi is being accused of raping a 24-year-old woman in March 2023.

The Morocco international allegedly paid for his accuser to travel to his home in the Paris suburb of Boulogne-Billancourt, while his wife and children were away on holiday.
