Abura Dunkwa — In a stunning turn of events in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese district, the Gyaasehene for the community has been destooled.

The Odompem Adwenadze Royal Family of Abura Dunkwa performed the necessary rites and rituals to destool Nana Obo Kwefuah VII as Gyaasehene.

The reasons for this severe action from the royal family have come as a shock, while many remain dismayed by the conduct of the former Gyaasehene.

“He [Nana Obo Kwefuah VIII] has for some period now refused to perform the necessary rites and rituals required of him by the family during the festival. Aside from that, he is in a marital affair with a fetish priestess, which doesn’t seem right in the face of tradition, having deserted his position as Gyaasehene for Obrafo,” said Abusuapanyin Kwame Essoun of the royal family.

The Abusuapanyin has further urged the public to desist from acknowledging Nana Obo Kwefuah VII as the Gyaasehene of Abura Dunkwa.
