Rocky Dawuni has seconded Shatta Wale for his statement that he doesn’t need to perform on foreign stages to be recognised globally.

‎He confirmed that an artist could be great irrespective of his or her location and thus doesn’t need to travel to perform before being recognised.

‎” I think you can be great wherever you are. I think that greatness has no boundaries, so you can be great and project yourself wherever you are,” he said.

Rocky Dawuni, in an interview with Max Drive on Max 89.7 FM in Accra on Thursday, reacting to Shatta Wale’s claim, noted that every artist has a strategy for gaining recognition, and his strategy could be different from that of Shatta Wale.

‎According to him, he loved diverse cultures and always loved to travel to perform on international stages to embrace other cultures while promoting Ghana’s own to them.

‎Rocky Dawuni maintained that technology advancement has even created an international platform for local musicians to get their art to be recognised globally.
