Ghana Premier League(GPL) Week 20 started with some explosive games and it continued today as Berekum Chelsea took on Karela United.
The GPL game which was played at the Golden City Park saw both teams approach with all the seriousness.
The first half was a bit dull but came to life towards the dying embers when Karela almost grabbed an opener but Richard Berko’s effort went wide.
The second half burst into life in the 50th minute when substitute Emmanuel Sarpong’s shot bounced awkwadly to beat goalkeeper Felix Kyei.
That gave Chelsea the lead and they protected it as Karela bumped forward in search of that equalizer.
In the end the game ended in favour of the home side who are currently unbeaten in their last 10 games.
They lie 7th with 29 points and Karela are 8th with 28 points.
