GPL Wk 18: Samartex beat Real Tamale United (RTU) in a 3-0 victory

Date:

After defeating Real Tamale United (RTU) on matchday 18 of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) , Samartex made home advantage count.

On Sunday afternoon, the Timber boys defeated the Pride of the North 3-0 to earn all three points.

Emmanuel Keyekeh, who has previously played for Kotoko, scored goals in either half of the game before Samartex clinched the victory late in the contest.

The Baba Nuhu team generated numerous chances but failed to score in either half.

RTU was keen to win after losing to King Faisal the previous weekend, but it was unable to happen.

The visitors were hoping for a victory, but Samartex proved to be formidable opponents in the eagerly anticipated match.

After 18 games, the victory moves Samartex up to ninth place with 26 points, while RTU falls to eleventh place with 23 points.
