Brazilian import Fabio Gama made his Kumasi Asante Kotoko debut as he grabbed an assist in their 2-0 win over Liberty Professionals.

The game which was played at the Accra Sports Stadium saw Kotoko start with enthusiasm.

They found an opening in the goal in the 10th minute as Kwame Poku hit a shot which deflected off a Liberty defender into the net.

Nine minutes later, Brazilian Fabio Gama found Poku again with a long ball and the striker powered his way through two defenders before sending a sublime chip over the goalkeeper to make it 2-0.

Kotoko went into the break with the lead and started the second period in similar fashion but we’re unable to add to their tally.
