GPL Week 27: Karela held to a draw by Great Olympics

Karela United dropped points at home after drawing 1-1 with Great Olympics.

The game played at the Aiyinase CAM Park saw Karela take the lead in the 5th minute.

Sekyere was adjudged to have handled the ball in the 18 yard box which resulted in a penalty.

Diawisie Taylor stepped up and calmly scored his 16th goal of the season.

Olympics were never shaken and kept came all out to search for the equalizer and it came in the dying embers of the first half.

Kassim put Ashie Quaye through who intelligently blasted it into the roof of the net to make it 1-1 before half time.

Both teams had numerous half chances in the second half but the game eventually ended 1-1 and Great Olympics are now 3rd on the league table.
