Kumasi Asante Kotoko recorded a hard-fought 1-0 win over relegation-threatened side Dreams FC in the Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors hosted the Still Believe boys at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, December 14, 2025, in a matchweek 14 clash of the 2025-26 season.
Kotoko struggled to create enough decent chances to take a first-half lead, as both Hubert Gyau and Walid Fuseini Neymar missed opportunities to score.
The travelling team, Dreams FC, missed what could have been the clearest chance of the season when Jonathan Nemorden, who had a difficult afternoon, failed to score.
Kotoko returned for the next 45 minutes looking to dominate proceedings. Kwame Opoku may have thought he was playing rugby, as he skied a chance way off target six minutes after the hour mark.
Opoku redeemed himself by scoring the only goal of the game in the 77th minute after a shoddy clearance from a Joseph Amoah free kick fell to his path to tap home.
Kotoko moved above fierce rivals Hearts of Oak into third place. Kotoko will travel down to Accra to face Eleven Wonders next on Christmas Eve.
