GPL: Hearts of Oak beat Nsoatreman FC to move to second position on table

Date:

Hearts of Oak, one of the top teams in the Ghana Premier League (GPL), is progressively making a push for the league championship.

The 2022/23 league season got off to a poor start for the reigning MTN FA Cup champions.

Before the 2022 FIFA World Cup began, the club changed course and fired head coach Samuel Boadu in favor of Serbian strategist Slavko Matic.

Nsoatreman FC and Hearts of Oak both played well in the first half of their match at Nana Konamansah Park.

Despite the several opportunities that were generated, no club was able to score.

Following the break, Hearts of Oak increased their pressure on Nsoatreman FC in an effort to score.

Fortunately, the squad scored a successful goal in the 54th minute on an excellent attempt from forward Kwadwo Obeng Jr.

The Phobians have moved up to second place in the Ghana Premier League after the team managed to hang onto the victory and accumulate three significant points.
