After defeating Karela United at the Accra Sports stadium, Accra Great Olympics moved up to sixth place in the Ghana Premier League (GPL) standings.
Prince Kwadwo Afrifa’s goal in the first half gave the Olympics all three points in front of their supporters.
Early in the game, the Dade Boys established control, and after 15 minutes, Afrifa’s goal gave them the advantage.
Even though the Olympics were fantastic, the finished result was lacking.
Halfway through the first half, Karela gave the home team a scare, but the Accra-based team kept their cool.
Similar to how they began the first half, Olympics hoped to score a second goal, but owing to the outstanding goalkeeping of Karela, they were unsuccessful.
Olympics moved up to sixth place on the standings after winning their last two games in a row.
Karela’s struggles have continued, and after 14 games, they are currently in the relegation zone.
