Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Frederick Asare has joined up with the Black Stars in Marrackech as they prepare for the upcoming international friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda.
Asare took part in Tuesday evening’s training session soon after arriving, joining Lawrence Ati-Zigi and Jojo Wollacot as the third goalkeeper out of the four called to report for duty.
The youngster, who has been putting up some impressive performances in the 2023–24 season to keep out former Kotoko number one, Danlad Ibrahim, was joined by Medeama SC’s defender, Nurudeen Abdulai, who received a late call-up.
The Black Stars will take on the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Friday, March 22, 2024.
