The Black Starlets of Ghana have qualified for the 2026 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.

Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum’s young boys easily brushed aside rivals Nigeria in a 2-0 victory.

Michael Awuli handed the Ghanaians the lead in the 22nd minute of the game before Robinho Yao Gavi sealed the win before halftime.

Ghana will now face the host nation Ivory Coast, who defeated Burkina Faso 2-1 in the 2025 WAFU B Boys U-17 Championship final.

The battle for the trophy is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 4, in Yamoussoukro.
