The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will step up efforts towards a smooth integration and transition to the FA’s digital registration system for beach soccer clubs in the country.
As part of the process, a forum would be held on Monday 24th August to discuss the road map and update beach soccer clubs on their responsibilities and the modalities involved.
Confirming this development, the Chairman of Ghana Beach Soccer, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah explained that the latest interaction would update and educate existing beach soccer club officials, new members, the media and other stakeholders on the requirements needed.
“We’ve had a number of briefings during the Covid-19 lockdown period. At the last recall, there were 26 clubs that had submitted their applications to the GFA verification and approval onto the system. So this is to clarify any outstanding issues”.
Ampofo Ankrah noted that Covid-19 arrested the process just before the scheduled commencement in March.
Monday’s online convergence would be supervised by the IT head of the FA, Mr. Francis Adu and would cover all the clubs across the coastal regions from Volta, Greater Accra, Central and the Western region.
