The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is set to meet the management of Asante Kotoko on the afternoon of Tuesday, February 11, 2024.
Member of the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association, Nana Oduro Sarfo, confirmed the meeting on Max FM’s Sports Pack show.
According to Oduro Sarfo, the GFA, though, has met with other clubs, is yet to engage Asante Kotoko following the tragic murder of a loyal Porcupine, Francis Yaw Frimpong, better known as Nana Pooley.
The heinous crime occurred while Kotoko faced Nsoatreman FC at the Nana Kronamansah Park on Sunday, February 2, 2025.
“Frederick Acheampong and Ashanti RFA Chairman (Osei Tutu) visited the family on behalf of the GFA. Kotoko was not available to meet them, but now the GFA is moving to meet the family because we’ve heard all the accounts. We would discuss with them what measures they’d be expecting from us.
A One-Week observation has been scheduled for Sunday, 16th February 2025, at Heroes Park, Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi, from 6 AM to 6 PM for Nana Pooley.
