FULL LIST: Winners of 2022 Ghana Music Awards USA

Date:

The complete list of 2022 Ghana Music Awards USA winners has been made public.

On the evening, prizes were given out in a total of 14 categories, with Takoradi-born musician Martin King Arthur, also known as Kofi Kinaata, taking home the top honor of “Artist of the Year.”

The Lincoln Theater in Columbus, Ohio, hosted the event.

In a competitive category, Kinaata triumphed, defeating competitors including Diana Hamilton, Black Sherif, KiDi, Kuami Eugene, Sarkodie, and Stonebwoy.

Black Sherif and other artists in Kofi Kinaata’s category left the ceremony with the Hip-hop/Highlife Artiste of the Year and New Artiste of the Year prizes, respectively.

‘Female Vocalist of the Year’ went to gospel performer Diana Hamilton, and ‘Male Vocalist of the Year’ went to Akwaboah.

Okyeame Kwame received “The Most Popular Song of the Year” for his song “Yeeko” with Kuami Eugene, while Epixode won “Reggae/Dancehall Artist of the Year.”

There was no exception for the Lynx Entertainment boys. KiDi won the Afrobeat/Afropop Artiste of the Year title, while Kuami Eugene took home the Sound Engineer/Producer of the Year honor.

The United States-based Ghanaian artists received 19 additional accolades. Herty Corgie and Jamin Beats won the top prizes, US-Based Female Artiste of the Year and US-Based Male Artiste of the Year, respectively.
