Frattesi gives Inter first leg win over Bayern

Date:

The two-time Champions League winners Inter Milan scored a late winner at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday night in Munich.

Bayern Munich took on the Nerazzuri in a repeat of the 2010 final in the first leg of the 2024-25 Champions League quarter-final.

Despite dominating the early exchanges of the tie, the Bavarians fell behind to Lautaro Martinez’s strike in the 38th minute.

Davide Frattesi ensured Bayern’s joy was short-lived three minutes after Thomas Muller handed the home team an equalizer in the 85th minute.

The task of playing in the final at their home grounds appears extremely daunting for Bayern Munich. However, Inter aim to party there in the final should they succeed in the rest of their matches.
