African and Egyptian giants Al Ahly played out a goalless draw against Inter Miami at the opening game of the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States of America.
Al Ahly, one of four clubs representing the African continent at the global club showpiece, showed dominance in the early exchanges of the game.
Oscar Ustari saved a first-half penalty from Trézéguet to keep Inter Miami in the game moments after Wessam Abou Ali’s was attempt ruled out for offside.
Lionel Messi and Inter Miami came alive in the second -half of the match, coming close to grabbing a goal in the 50th minute from a free-kick.
Both sides failed to crack each other down for a win as they settled for a point each.
