Budding singer Sheila Acheampong known in showbiz circles as Xheila says current women in the industry are ambitious and are willing to perform with baby bumps.

‎She said the contemporary female artists are shaping societal beliefs and misconceptions that have boxed women to compete evenly with their male counterparts in the music business.

‎Speaking in an exclusive interview with Max Morning Show in Accra on Tuesday, the “Papa Bi” hitmaker stated that society always regarded female artists as unserious.
‎
‎”The saddest and the worst side of the whole misconception is women lose focus when they start to date. When a woman is determined, she will never lose focus. When people say things like that it means that our (women) minds are small but we are smart. We know what we want,” she said.

‎Xheila further called for investors to invest in female musicians as they were willing to perform with baby bumps.
‎
‎”We can get married, have children and still continue doing music. We the modern women are determined to have our own life even before we become someone’s wife and give life to a new human.”
‎
‎”If you’re willing to invest in female artists I want you to know that we are not like that. We are determined, we are serious, we are going to perform on stage with our baby bumps,” she added.
