A fatal crash on the Offinso-Abofuor highway in the Ashanti Region, Ghana, has resulted in the demise of six people.

The tragic incident occurred around 4 a.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, between a cement-loaded trailer and a commercial passenger bus.

The trailer with registration GN 5326-22 and a passenger bus, GT 5509-20, collided into each other, as other passengers got severely injured.

With the police set to launch an investigation into the accident, the injured passengers are at St Patrick’s Hospital at Offinso-Maase for treatment.

The six deceased persons have been deposited at the hospital’s mortuary.
